Historic Exterior Masonry & Clean-Up Project

Banneker served as prime general contractor for the historic restoration and stabilization of the 50th District Headquarters Building for USACE.

This was the fourth task order awarded to Banneker as part of a SATOC with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Our scope included exterior masonry repairs of a historic structure, masonry cleaning, brick replacement and re-pointing, structural steel column repairs, hazardous materials abatement which included the removal of asbestos, lead and mercury containing material, demolition of HVAC and electrical equipment and other debris, demolition of an existing one-story building addition, construction of a large retaining wall, replacement of underground utilities and site restoration work.
